This Veterans Day, Marine Veteran Nick Stewart is hiking 25 hours carrying 25 pounds to support Big Fish Foundation and Next 18 — organizations that help Veterans heal, connect, and thrive.

Meet Nick Stewart
I have been working at the VA hospital in the mental health division for over ten years, where I’ve seen thousands of Veterans seek treatment for PTSD, substance abuse, and more. That experience has given me a clear understanding of what works — and what doesn’t — for long-term, successful treatment for the men and women who wore the uniform.
Two organizations that are truly making a difference in the Veteran community are the Big Fish Foundation and Next 18.
Big Fish Foundation focuses on outdoor events and peer connections that challenge Veterans to be better versions of themselves.
Next 18 uses golf camps to promote wellness and break mental health stigmas.
Both create an atmosphere of support and accountability. Together, they have supported over 1,000 Veterans. I am one of those Veterans.
Supporting just one Veteran at these events creates a ripple effect that extends to their family, their community, and our country. Veterans not only learn tools to improve their own well-being, they also become equipped to have a continuous positive impact on those around them. These organizations reignite Veterans with a sense of service, leading them to serve once again and volunteer more in their communities.

Because I believe so strongly in these organizations, on November 10th, the Marine Corps’ 250th birthday, and continuing into Veterans Day, I will hike for 25 hours carrying 25 pounds.
All I’m asking is that you contribute at least $25, more if you’re able. Every dollar matters.
All proceeds will be split evenly between both organizations.
